The RQL/HY is a lightweight and versatile forestry mulcher for powerpack vehicles and wheeled excavators from 10 to 15 t. It is designed to cut grass, shrubs and trees up to 6 inches in diameter. The RQL/HY is ideal for carrying out maintenance of road and railway embankments. The sturdy fixed-tooth rotor is balanced to ensure no vibration. The Direct Drive motor of the RQL/HY is positioned on the left to keep the center of gravity closer to the carrier. It reduces maintenance to a minimum and allows more compact body dimensions for increased maneuverability. In the inner chamber, interchangeable bolt-on spike counter blades ensure fine shredding of all types of vegetation. The head can be fitted with C/3/MINI teeth or BL/MINI blades. It is available in three widths: RQL/HY-125, RQL/HY-150 and RQL/HY-175.
